Agriculture in the Classroom programs are implemented by state-operated programs. National AITC supports state programs by providing a network that seeks to improve agricultural literacy awareness, knowledge and appreciation among K-12 teachers and their students.
"My name is Julianna Berg, and I have had the privilege of serving as the Jackson County Ag Literacy Coordinator since October 2023. Originally from Fayette County, I am currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Agriculture Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
I am deeply passionate about sharing the story of agriculture with people of all ages, from young children to adults. My love for agriculture runs deep, thanks to my strong faith and the unwavering support of my family. I am incredibly blessed to have two wonderful parents, three brothers, and supportive grandparents who have played a huge role in shaping my journey. Growing up, I had the opportunity to work on our grain and hobby livestock farm, which sparked and nurtured my passion for agriculture.
I am excited to continue working with educators across Jackson County, helping bring the world of agriculture into their classrooms and inspiring the next generation!"
