Scholarships enhance the future of agriculture by providing financial assistance to Jackson Co. Farm Bureau members, or their children who major in an agricultural-related field of study at a recognized junior college or 4-year institution that offers agriculture science courses.
The foundation will offer the following: The Charles W. Young Scholarship in the amount of $500 given in recognition of his years of service as Jackson County Farm Bureau President.
The foundation will offer
scholarships in the amount of $500-$1500 will be given out depending on availability of funds and qualified applicants.
Brady Heins - Graduated from Trico High School and is currently attending Murray State where he studies Ag Business. After college, he plans to come home and work on the family farm.
Megan Dinsmore - A Junior studying Agriculture Education with a minor in Agriculture business at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She is originally from Smyrna, Delaware. In her time in college, she has been able to be actively involved in the Collegiate Farm Bureau. She has served as an officer for the past two years and attended many different conferences. She thoroughly enjoyed representing SIUC and Jackson County in all of these roles and at all of these events. She has been able to grow in her professional and personal life through Farm Bureau. She looks forward to continuing her involvement in Farm Bureau the rest of my time in college and in her future career.
